
Gil Pilarte, lcsw
Over the last 30 years Gil has worked with children and families in a variety of areas: Family protective services, K-12 educational setting, Substance Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Awareness, Diversity training, Staff development, Core Team member and Coordination of Intervention & Referral Services teams.
Gil believes in personal growth and lives by the motto that “I wouldn’t have anyone do something, that I wouldn’t do” his empathy and compassion are what helps him in connecting to people. And people need to be and feel important. Gil puts all this into his life and a comprehensive practice that offers therapeutic services for individuals, families, and groups ranging from children and adolescents to adults, as well as consulting for a variety of organizations for parent, teacher, and student workshops and team building initiatives.
Gil has developed a style that encompasses high energy, compassion, deep thought, positive energy and fun!! Believing that people always have a capacity to learn and grow, he has worked to develop workshops and programs that focus on people’s strengths, focusing on a variety of topics that incorporate conflict resolution, communication skills, social and emotional learning. He also incorporates music, art and a variety of other resources in the therapeutic process.
Gil received a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. John’s University. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and engages the community to help make connections to services available for all.
Gil is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified LSW Supervisor, enjoys incorporating music, drawing and a variety of activities into therapy. He truly believes that nothing is more important than family and friends and living your best life, in this moment!!
Rikki Lyn Hauss, lsw
Rikki Lyn Hauss is an LSW that offers a creative, expressive edge to traditional therapy. In addition to theory-based approaches like CBT and Rogerian practices, Rikki Lyn takes exceptional joy in offering therapeutic activities - from sand trays and knitting to music and writing, with a special interest in gardening therapy.
Rikki Lyn is a graduate of Rutgers Undergrad with a degree in psychology and earned her Master's of Social Work through Arizona State University. She has years of exposure with adults, older adults, children, and teens through generous clinical internships and professional work alike. Rikki Lyn’s specialties include chronic illness and pain, bereavement, and life transitions.
When not working to support the lives of others, Rikki Lyn savors a warm cup of tea, knitting blankets, writing books, and tending to her flowers.
